I design learning experiences that work, for organisations, for educators, and for the people who show up every day to grow. My practice sits at the intersection of pedagogy, technology, and human-centred design, shaped by more than a decade in education and deepened by a deliberate move into instructional design.

I started my career as an Art and Design teacher. For a long time, that's where my identity lived in the classroom, in the creative work, in the relationships with students.
Something shifted when I began noticing that the most powerful moments in teaching weren't about content delivery. They were about design, how you sequence an experience, where you place a challenge, how you know whether someone actually learned something.
That realisation led me toward instructional design, not as a departure from teaching, but as an evolution of it.
Over the past two years, I've built that practice deliberately:
▪ Completed a Graduate Certificate in Digital Teaching and Learning
▪ Designed and delivered AI professional development for educators
▪ Built an enterprise-wide staff onboarding program for Sirius College
▪ Developed AI-enhanced tools, including a custom chatbot for student career guidance
What I bring that most instructional designers don't have is genuine classroom experience.
I know what it feels like to be a learner, what makes content land, and what makes it bounce off. That's not something you can replicate from a course. It's built over years, and it informs every design decision I make.
My approach to learning design is grounded in evidence.
Projects like my StudyTok learning analytics study, where I analysed 987 real student comments to understand digital study culture's impact on wellbeing, shape how I think about every design decision. Data doesn't just measure whether something worked; it tells you whether it actually served the people using it.

I believe the best learning experiences are invisible, learners don't notice the design, they just find themselves understanding something they didn't before. My practice is grounded in empathy for the learner, rigour in the process, and a genuine belief that technology should amplify human connection rather than replace it. Every project I take on starts with the same question: what does this person actually need to be able to do, and what's getting in the way?
